About Our Honey

Is all of your honey produced by The Giddy Bee?
Because we are a very small, working apiary, much of the honey we produce is reserved for crafting our honey-based products. To offer raw honey year-round, some of the honey we sell is sourced from trusted partner beekeepers we know personally and work closely with. All honey we sell meets the same standards for quality, ethical practices, and hive care.

Where does your honey come from?
Our honey comes primarily from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. This includes honey from The Giddy Bee Apiary when harvest allows, as well as from trusted regional partners.

What does “raw honey” mean?
Raw honey is honey that has been minimally processed to preserve its natural enzymes, pollen, and character. Our honey is gently handled and never overly heated.

About Our Products & Ingredients

Are your products natural?
We focus on simple, thoughtfully chosen ingredients and avoid unnecessary fillers. Each product is formulated with purpose and care, using honey, beeswax, botanicals, and plant-based oils whenever possible.

Do you use fragrance oils or essential oils?
Product scenting varies by item. We prioritize essential oils and botanical extracts, and always list ingredients clearly so you can make informed choices.

Are your products handmade?
Yes. Our products are made in small batches with attention to quality and consistency.

Sourcing & Transparency

How do you choose your partner beekeepers?
We work with beekeepers we know personally or through trusted relationships, choosing partners who prioritize hive health, ethical management, and integrity in their practices.

Can I tell where my honey was sourced from?
Yes. We share sourcing and regional information on our product pages whenever possible. Because we work with multiple trusted sources at the same time, individual jars may vary slightly in origin while always meeting the same standards.

Packaging & Sustainability

Why do you sell honey in glass jars?
We choose glass packaging to help preserve honey’s natural integrity, flavor, and quality. Glass is also reusable and recyclable, making it a thoughtful choice for both product and planet.

Do you use plastic packaging?
Some products require plastic components for safety or functionality, but we work to minimize plastic use wherever possible and choose materials intentionally.

Using & Storing Your Products

How should I store raw honey?
Store honey at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Crystallization is natural and does not mean honey has gone bad.

What is the shelf life of your products?
Most products are best used within 6–12 months. Specific guidance is included on each product label.

Orders, Shipping & Markets

Do you sell online and in person?
Yes. We sell online and at select markets and vendor spaces throughout the year. Upcoming events are shared through our newsletter and social channels.

Can I return or exchange products?
Due to the nature of personal care products, we do not accept returns once items have been opened. If there’s an issue with your order, please reach out — we’re happy to help.
