Private experiences are available throughout the greater Charlotte region, Lancaster County, York County and surrounding areas, with additional travel available for select events.

Different honeys can have dramatically different aromas, textures and flavors depending on their nectar source, growing region, climate and season.
During a guided honey tasting, guests learn how to evaluate honey using a sensory tasting process that explores:

Guests taste a curated selection of varietal honeys while discovering why honey from one region can taste completely different from honey produced somewhere else.

Discover the Fascinating World Inside the Hive
Curious about honey bees, pollination or what actually happens inside a beehive?
Honey Bee 101 is an engaging, approachable educational experience designed for children, adults and community groups. Through photographs, beekeeper equipment, hive components, demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities, participants get an inside look at the remarkable life of a honey bee colony.
Depending on the audience, topics may include:
- Honey bee biology and life inside the hive
- The roles of queens, workers and drones
- How honey bees communicate
- Pollination and why it matters
- How honey is made
- Bee safety
- The challenges honey bees face
- Simple ways we can help honey bees and other pollinators
Programs can be adapted to the age, interests and experience level of your group, making Honey Bee 101 equally suited for curious preschoolers, school-age children, adults and lifelong learners.
An observation hive may also be available for select programs and settings.
